Before the session

How to prepare

This is a group of things you can do to help you get ready for your session.

If you have already booked your session you will receive a conformation email of your date, time and any pre-session instructions. If you don't receive an email appointment confirmation please get in touch with me right away - (604) 442-8657 in Canada or ((415) 404-6636 in the USA.

Appointments: Appointments run generally 7 days a weeks starting a 10:00am Pacific Standard Time and completing when the client is ready (I have had clients sit with me for 16.5 hours - it takes, what it takes.). Please keep in mind you will need to rest for at least one day after the session and be able to remove yourself from stressful situations and avoid arguments for 2 days after the session. It will take 3 weeks to experience 90% of the work of the session and during that time I am available to you by phone if any issues pop up. I am also available to you if you need after a session. I will return calls before 10am, during session breaks and after sessions.

Sessions are available face-to-face in Greater Vancouver Area, Canada or online through FaceTime, Skype and Google+ and augmented by phone access.

For the session: Please make a list of everything that is not working or not working as well as you would like in every area of your life. Include all anxieties and anxiety responses, phobias, sleep issues, things that bug you (even about other people), body sensations, irritations, habits, memory or brain issues.

Complete the profile information attached to your session confirmation email. Email it to me at least 2 hour before your session.

Make sure you get lots of sleep before the session and make sure you have time to rest after the session. This means at least one full day (24 hours) after the session. If you don't it could delay the processing of the session.

You may be irritable and may not play well with others for up to 2 days after the session. During this time please avoid fighting or having disagreements to preserve your relationships.

If you have an addiction please make sure I know this before hand and also make sure you have the appropriate contacts checking in with you for at least 48 hours after the sesison. Arrange to know where and when the closest AA or NA meetings are taking place.

Please let me know before the session: If you are medication, what are you taking? Have you ever been hospitalized for psychosis or any psychological issues? Do you remember dreaming when you sleep?

If you suffer from depression, anxiety, aggression, stress, memory issues: You can assume that you will get full resolution in a single session unless something else is uncovered during the session - like you have a hidden trauma. You might find that you will want to follow up a year or sooner just for a boost.

If you suffer from PTSD or were exposed to trauma at any point in your life: You can assume that you will get full resolution in a single session. However, because of the structure of memory sometimes something is not uncovered and dealt with in the session. If you do not get a sense of emotional quiet that is sustained after our session, come back for no extra cost for a fix up session (1-2 hours).

Sometimes when someone has suffered with PTSD for a long time, they are too tired to be able to work through every problem in a session. During theses times I will tell you to come back so we can complete the session. During these times the experience of emotional quiet may not be available until the second session is complete. In this case most likely the experience will feel like the pain or suffering was considerably brought down just complete emotional quiet will not have been achieved. My goal is to push as much positive change into your brain as possible in the time your brain allows.

If you were recently exposed to trauma: Let me know and I will make a quick appointment for you to help you through your trauma. This session takes 1-2 hours and works with people who are in shock. We work on a single trauma that occurred within a 3 week timeframe of the session. Such a session is $300.

Others: I do work with a variety of people for a variety of things. I have had people come in for stomach problems, rosacea, dealing with murder, job trauma, car accidents, head trauma, chemical sensitivity, better sales, smoking cessation, sleeping, weight loss, anorexia, bulimia, hair pulling, relationship - couple work, unwanted patterns, anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, depression, body pains, childhood trauma, connection and belonging issues, PTSD etc. My best advice is to email or call me and ask me what I might be able to do for you.

A full session is considered full treatment of the issue. Other therapists choose to offer sessions over long periods of time. In my experience, my approach provides dramatic resolution in unheard of time frames while still being subtle. I work hard to make sure my clients feel comfortable at all stages of our session and experience as little distress as possible (trying to make you laugh, is more my style).

To arrange for a session: call Tracy directly at (604) 442-8657 in CANADA or (415) 404-6636 in the USA or through email at moc.cinilcdstpeht@feiler

Please note that phone calls will be returned within 24-48 hours. Make sure when you are booking your appointment you let me know what days of the week work best for you.

Session prices: A full individual session or assessment costs $875.00 per 8-16.5 hour session. Please note there is a $250 non-refundable appointment fee will be charged for making an appointment. This amount will be taken off the session amount. Please also note I do offer payment plans. This is a unique style of therapy and the results are experienced within 10 days of a session and increasing increasing over a 3 week period of time. If you did not feel you achieved your desired results from the session, I will work with you until you do at no extra cost. Additional phone calls after the session are also included in the session price.

I do offer couple, partner, and sibling sessions to past individual clients and the people important to them at a cost of $150 per hour for a 2-4 hour session.

I do offer business work group sessions please inquire directly at moc.cinilcdstpeht@feiler.

I also offer eye therapy sessions for individuals with strabismus, cervical dystonia, and lazy eye at $75 per session. The first session will include an assessment if our treatment will make a difference for you. If you don't meet the assessment guidelines the first session that session will be complimentary. Full treatment will take time. These appointments are monthly and clients will be provided with a new set of exercises each month.

Note: All or part of the session cost can be written off if you have extended insurance. You will need to check with your insurance carrier to confirm that your policy covers either "counseling by a counsellor" or "psychotherapy by a counsellor or psychotherapist." Under the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association I am considered both a Registered Professional Counsellor and a Master Professional Clinical Counsellor (MPCC) and Under the Canadian College of Counsellors and Psychotherapist I am considered a registered member (CCPCPR).

Note: I am preparing for doing further PTSD research. If you would like to be a part of this work, please let me know.

Cancellation Policy: Things in life happen and sometimes there are events beyond a person's control. Because of that if you need to cancel please contact me as soon as you know that you can't make it to a session. If you provide 48 hours notice of cancelling your session the appointment fee will be refunded. If less than 48 hours is provided the appointment fee will be non-refundable and not applicable to the next booked session.
